All fonts missing from Premiere Pro 2021!

I recently noticed I can't access any of my fonts in PP 2021. When I use the type tool, it uses a generic font. Then when I try to select a different font, there's nothing there at all.

I click on the pulldown menu and it appears empty.

All my other Adobe apps have the fonts available.

This is my Windows computer:

Same problem in 2023, latest 23.2.0 version. 

Its just Adobe. Nothing fixed for years.

This happened to me after upgrading to 2023 (v23.2.0). All fonts were missing from selection box, and existing text font was substituted.

Resolution:

After leaving premiere open for about 10 minutes (in the font selection screen), all fonts re-appeared. I suspect Premiere was just slow re-inventorying all the system fonts.

I also had this recent issue while editing a project, and I discovered the issue in my particular case.

I had imported a .mogrt file that required a font I didn't have installed. So it substituted it with another available font, but weirdly it also entirely messed up my font accessiblity. While that was an issue Prmiere was hanging on, it basically made ALL font choices unavailable except for whatever one was being subsitutted.

I found and installed the proper font that the .mogrt file required and it resolved the issue and all my fonts were available again. Hope this helps someone having the same or similar issue.

Still an issue in 2024 24.1.0
Adobe still being adobe, im so glad the software licences are so cheap to make up for...oh wait.

Just noting for anyone still having issues-- a version change is unnecesary -- all you need to do is close Premiere, open the Creative Cloud app, then reopen Premiere. The issue is that the creative cloud app is where Premiere pulls fonts from even if they're on your PC. So open that up and re-open and it should be good to go!
