Hello, i have my project at 1920x1080

I have added the black bar, top and bottom, to make it 2,35

Whern i see it in premiere is fine, but when i see it in vlc, for example, i see the two horizonal bar, bau also 2 vertical bars. Same for youtube watched on a phone, bar up, down and on sides.

I suppopse i need to change something in the export format

What shall i do to make it look good everyewhere?

thank you

it is all set to 1920x1080

i have found that setting the sequence at 1920x817 recreate the 2,35 format without the need of blak top and bottom bars

but i am not sure this is the best solution

The "standard" is 1920x816.  Never use odd numbers for a final video output.  It has to do with how compression schemes break down the image and how players display it.

You can set your Premiere project to it as well.

so this procedure is correct?

in vlc i see the black bar..but they are thinner than what they should be. On y phone i don't see any bar, but probably that's fine as it is not 16:9 format...

Hey,

Just export your project in 1920x800. The gap will be automatically filled by black bars depending on the player.

Thanks

I personnaly do 1920x800. I'm not having any issue, but I could be wrong.

I've heard some people doing 1920x700, but never seen 1920x812. Again, not 100% sure tho...

Would be very interesting to hear more by someone that knows better about this.
