Automatic Editing Keyed by *Audio*

New Here ,
Dec 11, 2017 Dec 11, 2017

Yo. Thanks for checking in. So the deal is, I'd like the ability to automatically edit my video based on silences in the audio. Specifically, I want to bump up the rate during silences to tighten the timing in certain spots and it would save hours to be able to push a button and do it.

If you know of anything like this, please discuss below.

Peace

Some DAWs have a ‘strip silence’ feature. Not sure if Audition has it, but you really need it in a picture editor.

You could make a feature request request at adobe.com/go/wish for this:

Strip Silence:

How it would work-

Analysis of clip(s) where audio drops below a set level (similar controls as for gating: threshold, attack/release/hold). Edits are added where the audio level drops below the threshold, with options to ‘lift’ or ‘ripple delete’ the silent portions, with or without transitions.
