AVCHD CAUSES CAMERA FOOTAGE TO CONTAIN 4 BLACK FRAMES IN THE BEGGINING OF EVERY AUTO - CREATED FILE

    For anyone who might be remotely interested, or might be having this issue, after about 3 days and like 8 hours of total agonizing pain, the solution was to import the whole folder exactly as is on the camera's sd because apparently .MTS files contain metadata and are formed in a structure where if you just take the individual clips, it falls apart. Why it took a year for this issue to only start happening 3 days ago, when that's literally how I've been doing thing for over a year now, is a question of which only the universe holds the answer for, but there you have it. I am using a Panasonic HC-V180 VideoCamera

Is it possible that over the last year, none of your clips were lengthy enough to be spanned across multiple files?

Negative, then same as now, my recordings vary anywhere between 30min to 6 hours, so I always ended up with multiple files. The issue on the other hand started happening for no apparent reason
