I have quite a lot of clips in the BPAV folder but I would only like to copy just a few clips.  Do I still have to copy the entire BPAV folder is  there a way just to copy the few clips that I need ?

Hi Chisnamic,

Do I still have to copy the entire BPAV folder is there a way just to copy the few clips that I need ?

I understand that you need few clips from that folder, but it is still recommended to keep the folder structure intact.

Please check this document for more information:

I am not sure about any of the Clip Browser software.

Thanks,

Are the files from a Sony camera?  If so Sony have several types of Clip Browser software which would do the job.

Catalyst Browse is the latest. Its predecessor was Content Browser - the new version of the SxS Management Utility will do this too.

All can be downloaded from the Sony Creative software site.

I guess other camera manufacturers offer similar software.

Short answer, no.  Always copy the entire card.  Start all new projects with a newly formatted card.

If there are just a handful of clips that you'd like to use, consider using Prelude to transcode them to a format that's appropriate for your editing workflow.
