Creating Cut Scenes for Modern Games

Hi everyone, how can I create 'Cut -Scenes'  like the ones you get between missions/Levels or at check points in the middle of missions/Levels e.g. Wolfenstein etc. is it possible using After Effects or Premiere? If so how is it done please?

Any Help will be much appreciated....
