CS5 Premiere Pro Won't Capture HDV

I have CS5 Production Premium /  Windows 7 64 bit / Supermicro dual CPU Motherboard

I can capture  from either my Sony DV/HDV device or my JVC DV/HDV device in standard DV  but when I switch to HDV capture I can't get control of the device OR  the capability to capture through Firewire.

Here's a tip for anyone who was able to capture HDV once and can't do it anymore, the issue may be with your NVIDIA video card driver. Try rolling back your driver, and if your system works, test hdv capture after you update.  Also, always use the split feature as breaks in the recording will unsync the audio after CS3.
