Hello. I'm producing a looping slideshow of still images using Premiere Pro CS6. I'll export the resulting sequence into .mp4 and it will play on a large (55") display. I'm having trouble with image sharpness; despite experimenting with project and export settings, the best results I get are moderately blurry on my desktop monitor (and also on the large display). I expect this is because of the inherently low pixel dimensions in DV-NTSC.
I created the slides in Photoshop starting with high resolution TIFF files, then layering them onto a solid color background with text captions. I've saved these .psd files as jpegs and dragged them onto my project timeline, then scaled all images to frame size. After scaling, everything looks blurry (playback and paused res at Full); of course, this translates to the exported .mp4 file. I've been hoping for the tack-sharpness of the orginal image files. I'd be grateful if anyone can recommend project and export settings for optimal results. Many thanks in advance.
My worstation:
Intel Core i7-9700KF CPU @ 3.60GHz
32GB RAM
480GB free on scratch disk
Win 10 Pro 64-bit

If you want to play this on a HD tv your sequence needs to be at least HD and not SD.
Try this one:

Yes.
What are the pixel dimensions of your images?
Why didn't you use a higher resolution sequence setting?

Don't save as jpeg. Use the psd files. Choose to flatten when importing.

What will the exported file be viewed on, and what is its resolution?
