Seeking a way to export a DCP in Premier Pro. Anyone have the simpel answer.
Running premier on a MAC Mini M1
Thanks
Jimmy
Hi @Dpmatlosz - You are probably thinking of Wraptor DCP, Unfortunately it is not available anymore in Premiere Pro.
I suggest making sure your sequence conforms to a DCP specification i.e. 24FPS, Flat or scope sizing, etc.. and then export a ProRes 422 HQ file. You can then bring that file into DCP-o-Matic to create your DCP. Always check with your vendor to make sure you conform to their specs as well. Jonny Elwyn has a great tutorial, How to make a DCP for Film Festival projection. I hop

Sorry that you are having trouble with your DCP. I sent you a link via PM. Have you checked that link to the free tool yet? Hope to assist, @Dpmatlosz.
Thanks,
Kevin

Hi there!
I'm having the same issue, can you please share this link to the free tool you mention? Is it available? I'm urging to export a DCP for a commercial, but not finding a solution to this rosetta/apple silicon problem.

Posting to this thread as well as another on the same topic. This is my first time working with DCP exports and the theater is asking for a 4K DCP....I'm really shocked Premiere can't do this! I really have to use a third-party workaround?

The "lite" version of Wraptor is still in PR. More regarding the lite version:
The staff response here that says it is not available anymore in Premiere Pro refers to the Pro version. That version, with the 4K option (for a fee), is no longer available.
In June, the Quvis link in the PR export settings was still there and "worked," but gave an error. Today, the link is still there and gives a page with "quovis.com expired and is pending renewal or deletion." I assume that the link will be removed at some point, but it is still in the Beta version as of build 55.
I was involved in a recent thread related to whether DCP captions can be exported from PR. (The answer, only burned in.) The staff response, as in this current thread, was that DCP-o-matic was an alternative.
DCP-o-matic is available here:

Thanks @Stan Jones - I think I'm less concerned with the fate of Wraptor specifically and more just surprised that a professional NLE can't export the file format a modern theater would be asking me for...

I hear you, and meant to respond to that part. Adobe's inclusion of features for licensed technologies varies as to how top-of-the-line they are. And their compromise here - support 2K but not 4K - was not as a big a deal when 4K was less popular. I don't know the pros and cons here. I wonder if there is a feature request to add more functionality?
Encore was the DVD authoring app that Adobe licensed from its various owners over the years. It was powerful, but it was never the full product (Scenarist). And there are still users that would love to get those limited features back.

I remember Encore. Yes you're right, this is more likely a feature request than a rant and rave in the subs here. Thanks for the feedback @Stan Jones !

That did the trick! DCP-O-Matic, created the file, I will be testing it this week. Always the bugger with DCP, no way to test it at home. Thanks for the support and info! Maybe Adobe should pay this guy for creating a great tool.

Well, why is the wrapper gone? (I onlfy find answers like this - with no explanation)
And why don't you just bring it back? I promised a client a DCP as I did those back then, only to find out his doesn't work anymore and I have to search the web to find a solution.
