frame conversion

Hi there.

I have shot some clips at 59.94 fps with a Sony A7S II and I want to play them at 29.976 in Pemiere Pro. However when I play them, the the slow motion is choppy, Premiere just duplicates frames. I have tried different methods, one of them was to interpret the clips and set them at 29.976.

The sequence was always set to 29.976 fps.

What am I doing wrong?

I saw this for the first time in CC2018 when i was interpreting 1080p50 as 1080p25 to get the slow motion. The result i got was choppy movement and this did not happen some version back.

So, instead of using Interpret Footage i used Speed/Duration on the timeline and changed it from 100% to 50% and then changed the Time Interpolation to Optical Flow. The result now was smooooth footage.

It sounds like you actually recorded at 30i, not 60p.

You must give more details, because what you mention should not happen.

One of the best options that Premiere has is the option to interpret.
