I record voiceover on an audio track in Premier whilst filming the accompanying video footage on my iphone. The sequence settings for the track I record the voicover in is 30fps. The video settings that I record in are 30fps. When I import the video into premiere it shows it is 30fps. I add the video to the timeline and use the video's audio track to help me sync it with the voiceover audio. (Once they are synced I delete the video's audio track) However, by the end of the sequence (usually about 45 mins of footage) the 2 audio tracks are out of sync. I have to set the video track's speed to 100.01% to have the audio in sync all the way through.
The video format of my iphone footage is .mov so I have also tried running the footage through media encoder using H2.64 Match Source Adaptive High Bitrate to get an .mp4 format but the same issue persists.
The work around of setting the video speed to 100.01% solves the problem, but I'd rather know what is causing the mismatch to not have it happen in the first place.
Does anyone know why the audio I record on the 30fps track in premiere doesn't match up with the audio on the 30fps video?
Attached image shows the videos, sequence and voiceover recorded in the same sequence.
Thank you

Unless both recording devices are locked together, which is almost impossible on a phone, they will drift.
