If you have an older project that uses the Write-on effect, you can still open it in Premiere Pro 2025. The effect will remain functional, and you can adjust its settings or copy it to other clips as needed.

If you're trying to create a specific dotted line animation, feel free to share an example or describe what you're aiming for. There are alternative methods available in Premiere Pro 2025 that can achieve similar results without using the Write-on effect.

Hi @PaulMurphy

This post caught my eye

I was putting animated dotted lines on a Map Graphic a while back in an older project.

Now Premiere Pro has removed Write on effect in 2025 version what are the 'alternative methods' you mention to do this effect?.

I saw one method using Venetian Blind transition but this has also gone from 2025 versions.

If you have a link to a suitable new method that would be great

Thanks

You can find this effect under Video Transitions/Wipe/Venetian Blinds.

Hope it helps!
