I'm using Debrup's zoom transition presets from this youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3dtMB314rY.
I notice that the use of these zoom transitions on clips with speed/duration increased (in my case, 200%), the zoom animation will start sooner in the same clip rather than during the transition into the new clip as it would normally if speed is set at 100%.
I've tested it and it works perfectly fine on clips without its speed/duration modified (default at 100%) as you can see on the first part compared to the second part with both clips set at 200% speed. I checked the Effect Controls in the Source Monitor, and notice there's nothing there before the zoom would supposedly start as you can see in the video clip attached. It would start zoomed in prematurely for a few seconds on the same clip, until it reaches a new clip.
How do you resolve this if I want to modify the speed but still keep the zoom transition effect to be in sync during the transition into the new clip? I was wondering if the preset itself has to be modified relative to its speed set in the clips, if so, how would that be done?
Thanks in advance.
Try nesting before adding transition or vs. Trial and error.

Can you elaborate on that answer? I'm not sure what do you mean.

yeah Ann gave you the solution, after applying speed to your clip,
right click on it and choose nest.
Apply your zoom transition to the nest.
that's it

Ann Bens Carlos Ziade Thank you so much for the help. It worked! I wondered what caused this glitch to happen in the first place and why nesting the clips individually before applying the zoom transitions to each made it work properly?

I will try to simplify:
when you add any effects to a clip, those appear in the effect controls panel,
which means they actually affect this clip. after nesting, even if the source
clip has effects applied, if you select the nest, those effects do not appear
in the effect controls panel, which means they do not affect the nest. so your
speed effect does not affect the nest, and so adding the zoom transition
to the nest is the only effect that will affect the nest. the other effects applied
to the source clip have their effect there, not on the nest.
