Thanks to all you've taught me how to ingest using the source browser and content browser , now how do I ingest into a Premier Pro CC project using the Adobe Media encoder ?
Thanks
You don't actually set it up to do the ingestion from AME, but ... you need AME to set up the presets if you want transcoding or proxies.
Ingestion in PrPro is done from the Media Browser panel in PrPro, and you can click the little wrench icon there to setup what you want done on ingesting. The options at the top are copy media, transcode, or make proxies. If you choose the second or third, there are a couple options that it will give you, but likely ... not what you'd prefer.

So at that point you go to AME, in the Presets panel lower left, click the plus to create a new encoding preset. Whether you want a transcode (say you've got ACHD coming in, but would prefer to work in DNxHD/R) or you want to work in proxies, you need to first set up an Encoding preset. Choose the codec & settings you want ... and for many, you'll want to create a few to cover your basic needs.
Now, to 'ingest' with proxy creation, you use AME to make a new preset, selecting the Ingestion option, using one of the encoding presets you've made to suit your needs as the preset used within the ingestion ... preset.
Save that, then use the 'export' folder-looking icon to export the ingestion preset to the Program Files/Adobe/Premiere Pro/Presets folder. Then, next time you start PrPro, you click the wrench icon in the Media Browser, and set your ingestion or transcode process in the dialog box that comes up.
