I created an MP4 file from PowerPoint.  Imported it into Premiere v. 25.1.  When I do the audio and video are no longer synced up.  I am not sure why or how to fix it.  The MP4 file is fine when I play it in Media Player.  And the PowerPoint file is synced when played from PowerPoint.  Thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

Hi vickim7900!

Sorry to hear that. Could you try the following steps in troubleshooting?

Check frame rate of the clip, VFR media in Premiere Pro may result in the audio being out of sync with its corresponding video frame. You can try to transcode these media files to Constant Frame Rate and then use them in Premiere Pro. These particular files may need to be transcoded in an "open source" application like Shutter EncoderHandbrake

Try deleting cache files and check Audio Hardware Settings if it correctly configured. Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware. Switch "Default Input" to "No Input"

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

KR

Those are good comments from @Kartika Rawat, also, you can check the info on your files: You can use the free MediaInfo program to get info on your clips. Get the program from the link below and using the 'Tree' view post a screenshot of your clip info: https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo/Download
