Is it possible to add MULTIPLE TRANSITIONS to the same clip?

Hello all,

I'm exploring transitions and am wondering if it is possible to add multiple transitions to the same clip: specifically Id like to add Blur Cross-dissolve and Zoom to the same clip. I've been looking at 3rd party packages but the ones that seem to give the type of control and look I'm going for are expensive, especially when all I really want right now is a Zoom-Blur that gives me directional control of the Zoom which the default zoom in PPCC already gives, but the zoom gets pixelated very quickly and looks crappy.  I've tried dropping the transition into the effects control box on the work space but that doesn't seem to be an option.

Any help would be great.

Do it manually by using two video tracks and overlapping them and using keyframing.

Do it manually by using a nested sequence and keyframing.
