Unfortunately you are stuck with online help only (don't like it either)

The last pdf is from 2019.

The online help is a quagmire. I don't need fifty variants of "look what I can do" noise when I am searching for something specific. PDF can be word searched, browsed by heading. The online help is a waste of my time. 99% of the time I get more search relevance using google. I am tired of the mess you call help. Please fix this train wreck.

I have to agree. The online help is a disaster.

And it is getting worse by the day. Useful information is disappearing.

I have to resort to older pdf version.

Dont count on this getting 'fixed'.

Contrast this with Resolve's 3,000+ page extensively hyperlinked PDF!

gotta say the resolve documentation leaves something to be desired.  You're led down the garden path in some situations where the description in the manual does not match what you see working with the program.  If you dig down,  continue searching, you find that the feature is only available in the paid version... which is fine but why not say that at the get go...    but yeah, don't know why there isn't a proper manual for Premiere...

Both apps have their problems with documentation. And yea, I work with both.

It's nice to have that extensive doc for Resolve, but then it's so freaking big that it can be hard to find things. Yes, searchable ... if you know the precise terminology being used.

Premiere's best docs have been recent, and about working in Productions mode ... which even as a single-person shop, I went to as soon as it came out. And these docs actually give information on setting up projects, mutlicam workflows, audio, and such ... that all users should read them.

Classroom in a book remains the best available reference, but it has some serious problems in the way things are explained without adequate conceptualization. The online help and the adobe training videos are now 2025 even worse than years ago. There is no room for a trainer simply trying things on camera. There has to be some structure: the issue, concepts, and ways of post production editing. Adobe seems to be concealing its user guide reference manuals, in order to push the testing manuals and training videos
