Layers in Tiume Line change when altering parameters

I've reported this in the past (even sent a video showing this as I am again). This drives me nuts.

You're editing and time is a factor (big shock there). You select a layer to check or revise a keyframe, adjust the parameter, then go down the time line to change the same parameter at a different point in time only to find the layer has jumped to a different layer on your timeline. If that layer has a keyframe at the same point in time, you're changing a value you don't want changed.

This seems somewhat intermittent. Am I doing something wrong? Didn't use to do this and I've been using Premiere as a beta site before it was ever released to the public. This has been a consistent problem for the last four or five releases.

The attached video demonstrates this. Haven't included steps to recreate this because it seems to vary - but it happens quite alot.

It sounds like what you are referring to is not "layer" but "track", as in, V1, V2, whatever?
