Agreed!

For the love of all things holy! It's only an issue when I drag the clip in, but the inconsistency catches me off guard all the time. If I'm in a 'rush' and don't catch it I have get it uploaded and it goes live with everyone sucking helium. I can't think of a scenario anyone would want the origional pitch not maintained, when the speed is altered.

Please make the default to 'maintain pitch'. Thx.

By the way why does the pitch shifting changes the sound quality as if
making it sound more stereo? Audition does not do that

You'll want to post that in the forum here using the "Idea" conversation type. Adobe stopped using "UserVoice" some time ago, and the bugs and ideas all go into this forum.
