Hello! This just happened to me and don't know how to undo it. Whenever I try to Split the marker, a hand gesture comes through. I am unable to split marker. Please Help!!!

Did you try to Split the marker using shortcut M and changing the duration of the marker? I hope you're using the Alt / Option key to split the marker.

I changed the duration and it worked but the shortcut M thing is not

Thanks for writing the post. I think I know what's happening. If the marker is inside a play range, Alt or Option dragging will move the range and won't split the marker. If you remove the play range (remove In to Out), the ability to split the marker returns typically. 

Please try this workflow and see if it works for you. Let us know, please!
