Mavic 3 Import: this file has an unsupported compression type

So, I can't get my beautiful Mavic 3 footage into Premiere Pro 2022.  What gives?  I have to downgrade the footage (which isn't the reason i purchased the expensive drone) to be able to get it into the editor.  Very frustrating.  It's not the file sizes as i can get other larger file sizes from other cameras there.  Someone help.  This is extremely frustrating!  How on Earth can Premiere not support Mavic 3?!

I'm having this same issue. I don't even see them as an option to download when I look in the folders. Its weird though cause the hyperlapse does show up

Hi @Aseer ,

Did it work in the latest Premiere versions? I expect it to work. Please let us know.
If you still face issues, please share some sample media files. I will check locally and update you.

Thanks,

Mayjain

Hi!  Just to pile on, nope, doesn't work.

I shot some footage in the new dark mode (4k, 30fps), footage itself came out fine.

  • Imported into premiere (2023, CC, all updates), did my stuff, looked great in preview, exported, and... nada. Audio is there, but all mavic content is random keyframes, for lack of better description.
  • Screwed with everything under the sun in premiere (cleared cache, changed output formats/res/codecs, tried disabling hw rendering, etc.), even stripping back to a new project with a plain sequence containing just the video, but made no difference, same result.
  • Interestingly, my intro's/outro's rendered fine. To clarify, the output files all consistently have a great intro --> random skisms of keyframes from my mavic footage -->, then a great outro, with all audio.
  • For S&G, I tried Premiere Rush, exact same results!
  • As a last resort because I had to get a project out, I tried that crappy freebie MS clipchamp editor, which worked perfectly.. although, I guess I can't call it crappy because it's bringing me more value than my billion dollar CC subscription right now.

How can this get escalated?
