Mid John 00028.mp4 Show As Audio Only

I'm about to drive myself crazy with this. Every time I try to relink the Mid John 00028.mp4 it shows as audio only. However, the thumbnails in my file folder shows there is video.

I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what it is.

Any help appreciated.

Sometimes the media cache files get corrupted, so the first thing I'd try is to check the location of the media cache/cache database files on your rig in your preferences, close down PrPro & manually delete everything in those folders. Reboot the computer, relaunch PrPro, and see if the file now works.

If not, there are other options up to and including transcoding the file.

How does it play in either VLC or Potplayer?

I'm having the same issue.  Imports as audio only.

Hi all,

In the latest update of Premiere Pro (v12.1.2), we fixed several issues around files importing as audio only.

Let us know if updating Premiere Pro resolves this issue.
