Hello,

I'm still new to Premiere Pro and to this as well. When I try to move the clips from the edit window to the timeline, they won't move. I'm not sure what is going on. I would be grateful for any help on this. Thank you

It sounds like you might be referring to one of Premiere’s viewing panels.

Premiere Pro has two main panels to view your footage: the Source Monitor and the Program Monitor. You can see their names at the top of each panel.

The Source Monitor is where you preview your clips before you add them to your sequence. You can load a clip into the Source Monitor by double-clicking it in the Project panel. Once it’s there, you can drag it from the Source Monitor to the Timeline to add it to your sequence.

The Program Monitor is for viewing what’s already on your Timeline (your edited video). Unlike the Source Monitor, you can’t drag clips from this panel.

If you want to know more, here’s a guide on using the Source and Program Monitors: Understanding Source and Program Monitors.
