I opened up Premiere Pro CC to continue working on a video I'm making, but the video is automatically playing & I can't stop it; I can't click on the playhead, and, since the audio track is already in place, the video plays though & I cannot stop the playhead to place clips. Also, this is only then my mouse is hovering over the timeline & then I move the pointer over the clips in the project panel, then that list auto-scrolls!
I updated the program to see if it helped, but I still have this problem.
What do I do??
Could it be that perhaps you have a keyboard button or a mouse button stuck? If you are on a desktop try opening Premiere Pro again and when the behavior starts happening unplug your mouse and keyboard from your computer. Not sure what you would do if you're on a laptop. Once I was having a weird behavior happening and it turns out that the bluetooth mouse I had in my backpack was on and the button was being squashed by something.
You could also try the often recommended reseting your preferences

You could also try the often recommended reseting your preferences and plugin-cache.
Press Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) while launching Premiere Pro. You can release the Alt key or Option key when the splash screen appears. To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.

No buttons were stuck, but resetting my preferences & plugin cache fixed it! Thank you so much!
