I am after a bit of help with my family home videos, my sister and mother went to a USA Trip at the end of May last year.I am doing some editing on Premiere Pro heres the issue on the (MPG recorded format) a few videos in question can hear the sound in Quicktime fine, but when i import it to Premiere Pro it doesn't have sound even tho audio file is there and linked but has no sound waves.

All other video files have imported fine with sound  a few others without audio tracks after imported.

Try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn'r work, try Sequence > Render audio.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate before importing into Premiere Pro:
https://handbrake.fr/downloads.php
Here is a tutorial:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Are you on Windows or a Mac? Your ausio is recorded Dolby Digital 5.1 and Premiere uses the computer operating system to do the decode.
