Adobe can you please address this.  I have no plans to upgrade my OS to Wins 10 anytime soon and I am currently and happily on Wins 7.  I shoot AVCHD files for work and I just tested my clips to see what happened and sure enough NO AUDIO.  Adobe, aside from replacing Adobe CC to something else what will you do to fix this?  Plus in the meantime what do I need to do to be able to work with my media?

The upgrade to Windows 10 is no longer free.  Its $119.99 for the Windows 10 Home version.  Thanks a lot, Adobe.

Hey jeremyl,

Adobe, aside from replacing Adobe CC to something else what will you do to fix this?

This isn't a bug that will be fixed. Due to a change in licensing agreement with one of our vendors, Adobe Creative Cloud has moved to native Operating System (OS) support for Dolby Digital decoding (reading Dolby files) and is no longer providing support for encoding (writing) Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sound formats in the current and future releases of Creative Cloud.

Plus in the meantime what do I need to do to be able to work with my media?

Since Windows 7 can't decode Dolby natively, you need SurCode for Dolby E Decoder

Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 should decode these files natively.

Thanks,

Rameez

Are you saying the Surcode Dolby E decoder will decode Dolby Digital files in Windows 7
