I have identical source media on a Mac and a PC. I thought I could simply open the same project file on both computers but I'm wrong.
I was able to open the project on my Mac without issues. I then opened the same file on my Windows machine without issues. When opening that file back on the Mac all of my audio is gone and replaced with digital noise.
I called Adobe and they walked me through a procedure of saving the project using the Project Manager. I was told this would simply save a new project file but in fact it made a copy of all the media too. Whatever. Of course when I try to open the project in the Mac I still have the same audio issues.
I have to say, working with Premiere on a Mac is a living nightmare and has been for the last several years. We are switching the entire studio to Windows because of it. I have wasted so much time on Premiere.
