No video in latest version adobe premiere pro on computer windows 10

I am using adobe premiere pro and on importing a mpeg2 file there is now video
shown when i hit the play button. Sound is ok.......but no video.
What could be the reason of this?

Maybe not working after update of windows?

It is a Windows issue. Newer builds of Windows 10, as well as all builds of Windows 11, no longer natively supports MPEG-2 video; third-party software and/or hardware or an optional Microsoft MPEG-2 codec plugin download from the Microsoft Store is now required for the OS to even recognize MPEG-2 files at all.
