I have been using premier for over 6 months now and have had no issues whatsoever.
But now for no reason whatsoever, when I start a project and import all my clips they play fine in the preview section, and I am able to drag the first clip into the timeline with no issues. After the first clip is in, the subsequent clips will only go into the timeline with audio. I have tried starting new projects, changing file formats, uninstalling and reinstalling, filming new footage, downgrading to 2019, 2018 versions and nothing seems to be working.
And like I said earlier this has never been an issue before yesterday.
Help would be really appreciated, as I am working on an important project and I'm stressing😕

Most common user error is not source patching the track.

I solved it by simply right clicking on th V1 toggle button, then selecting 'Default Source Assignment'.

Hi Sophietermonen!
Thank you for reaching out. Source Patching in the timeline could be the reason for this issue.
You can try what @Ann Bens suggested. In addition to this take a look at this article and see if helps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-why-does-audio-or-video-not-go-to-the-track-where-i-...
Looking forward to your response.

Kartika

If the clip is loaded into the source monitor, you can click and drag from the button right under the picture

And you can set the source patching to drag just audio or video or enable both for... both!
