Open Captions Still a Problem in Premiere CC 2019

I made the mistake recently of finally making the leap from CC2017 to 2019 and found that captions has not been fixed as reported. In addition to still not being visible after encoding with ME, there's a new issue with text sizing. If you have a fix for this please let me know!

Same .srt caption file used in both 2017 and 2019 1080p sequences with the same font. CC2017 default font size is 18 while CC2019 is 40. CC2019 font is much smaller on the screen even though it's size 40 vs 18. If you try to increase the size, the lines get cut off on the right side.

Maybe Wes Howell can offer assistance?

Captions in Premiere (in my humble experience) can be tricky things.

Your video looks like a regular frame size, but your 2019 captions are 1080x1920 (instead of 1920x1080). The 2017 PR does not appear to show the frame size.

Note that the new options for import and export settings (buttons in the bottom of the Caption Panel) can be very useful.
