I have a big project with all 100 files missing, so I'm in the process of relocating them. Some of them are found, but some of them aren't, and it seems to be at random. The thing is, I manually searched for one of the un-found files and found it myself. Why didn't premier pro's location system recognize it? How can I fix this? I'm sorry but I can't manually like 80 something files.

Try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Then try to relink.

Yes.

How do you import a project into Premiere Pro?

Select File > Import, and browse to the project file containing the desired sequence or sequences, and select them. Click Open. In the Import Project dialog box, choose whether to import the entire project or selected sequences, and click OK

It didn't work unfortunately. I still have to manually locate nearly each clip myself instead of navigating to the file and letting the locate button do its thing. There's really two problems here. 1. The locate button doesn't work half the time even once I've navigate to the correct file, and 2. Even when it does it won't link all others in that file automatically

With me there have been times where if you search a second time the search option will find what you need. Not ideal but it works.

I've done it several times and it kind of just does it in tiny clusters of 1 to 10 each time
