Premier Pro Lag after MacOS 26

Hello, Im using macbook pro m1 max with 64GB ram. I started facing Lag in Premier pro. Lag in Playback, Rendering Previews etc after i updated to latest MacOS 26 Tahoe. I will attach my Premier pro version and Macbook details below. Adobe please give an Update by fixing this issue. Thankyou

Can you check your audio hardware settings and make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"

Do you have any third party plugins or panels installed?

 

When troubleshooting, it’s helpful to provide as much detail as possible, as that makes it easier to narrow down the cause of the issue.   Please see, How to Report a Problem.

Sorry to hear about this. Is this happening with any specific project/sequence or all of them? Please share the media specs (format, frame rate, and frame size) and whether you have applied any effects to the clips in the timeline. Also, have you already tried clearing the cache?

Can you check your audio hardware settings and make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"

Hi @Picturebros - Do you have premiere composer open when this issue occurs?  If you uninstall it do you still have the issue?  Do you have any third party plugins installed?

 

Can you check your audio hardware settings and make sure Default Input is set to "No Input"

 

Can you try and hold down "SHIFT" while launching Premiere and check the boxes
"Reset app preferences" (Backup Preferences first)
"Clear media cache files"
"Reset plugin loading cache"
"Disable third-party plugins (one-time only)"

Got m2 max and its slow slow slow everything nothing spec but i cant work like this needs update asap. even on 1/8 quality its slow

Got mac studio updated to 26.0.1 m2 max 32gb ram i cant even edit on 1/8 quality sony 4k footage export is for 2min video 15mins all of it is slow after os update

  • Issue – When i open Premiere pro 25.5 playback is slow and juddering even when i render sequence in and out and line is green also it happens when i use it on 1/8 quality
  • Steps to reproduce  just playback any video
  • Expected result  normal playback and export speeds
  • Actual result  normal playback and export speeds
  • Screen recording – i can tomorrow
  • Adobe Premiere Pro version – 25.5 last one
  • Operating system – MacOS 26.0.1 and on 26 it happend also
  • Video format  Sony 4k HS 3840x2160 50fps slog3cine 100mb 4:2:2 10bit 
  • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs: 
    • Does it affect all projects or only some projects?  all projects i cant work normaly after this update
    • Does it affect new projects? all
    • When did the problem begin? after update to MacOS 26

Hi @Lazarcatic - There should be an uninstaller that you can download from the sony website.  That will remove all traces of the programs files.
