Please ensure your computer meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements to run Creative Cloud+ all other apps you intend to use. Keep in mind, these are baseline recommendations.  Depending on your workflow, you may need a lot more physical and RAM memory, faster processor and better graphics card / memory.

and unfortunately, Apple in all their wisdom have decided that you cannot upgrade the ram after you purchase a macbookpro, so my recommendation is to get as much ram as possible when you buy it.  16gigs is the minimum I'd recommend, but more if possible.

16GB minimum but 32GB preferred. Go to 64 if you can 😉

Remember though there's more to specs than just the ram. Ideally you'll want (in a MacBook) a dedicated AMD GPU - not just a mac with integrated intel graphics.

Smaller screens are a pain to edit on. A 15 or 16 inch screen will also make a difference to your editing experience.

small screens are a pain, but it's very easy to add a larger external screen at a very reasonable price.  Sort of defeats the portability, but should perhaps be considered.
