Premiere 2017 and Adobe Audition dynamic link not working

After updating my applications to CC 2017:

When I try to edit a sequence in Audition, the "open in Adobe Audition" check box is grayed out and Audition does not open.

Dynamic link was selected in the dialog box.

Please help.

To save anyone from needing to watch this ... simple trick, really.

The Audtion standard file association is .sesx ... for this, she says, take an sesx file, change the extension to ses (lose the X), then open the file ... it refuses, use the find another app, navigate to Audition, open the file. Close Audition.

Now, the file that wouldn't dynamic-link to Audition should be good to go.
