Premiere is making the video longer

I have a job to cut a video at certain timecode and I did that. I then got a reply from the customer that i had cut the video at the wrong places. I went back to look and the video was longer in premiere than the file was saying it was.

Most likely using footage with variable framerate.

If so convert files to constant framerate before bringing it into Premiere.
