Premiere Pro CC 2017 won't open

Since I updated to 2017 Premiere Pro. When I try to launch it from the Creative Cloud App it shows the initializing but once that's complete the actual program isn't showing on the screen. It shows up in task manager but that's it. There is no error message.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure why it worked but I switched to the guest profile on my Mac and then switched back to mine. Adobe then detected an error and asked me to uninstall Premiere. I did as it asked and reinstalled it without my preferences and it has opened. I would still love to hear further information as to why this may have happened.

Hey everyone, I just got off the phone with adobe support and we solved this issue (for me).  When I launched my project, a dialogue box notifying me of an obsolete audio filter was popping up on my client monitor (which doesn't display a computer screen, only an HDMI output) so I couldn't see the box.  When I did a screen share with support, he could see all three monitors as if they were all computer screens.

If I had inadvertently pressed return Premiere would start, but if I didn't see the box or press return, Premiere seemed to be stalled on opening (although not unresponsive).

Hope this helps!  Vidya Sagar
