Hi, the update to CC 2018 works fine on all programs except Premiere Pro. When starting, it crashes on splash screen with the error message: "Adobe Premiere Pro CC has stopped working". I cannot see that this is related to the "firewall" problem as all the other programs works well. Anyone have the same problem? or maybe a quick fix for this?
Thanks!
Updating to 12.1.1 fixes this issue most of the time.
If this did not fix your issue, please create a new post.
Thanks,
Kevin

I was having the same problem after installing Premiere Pro CC 2018, I used the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstalled Premiere Pro CC 2017 and it worked again. But Premiere Pro CC 2018 there is no way to make it work, every time I create a new sequence or open a project which already has some sequence it gives a fatal error and closes.

Solution?
For me YES!
UPDATE YOUR CUDA DRIVER!
I updated to the latest CUDA 9 and now both 2017 and 2018 load. 2018 still comes up with errors of modules crashing but it opens and works. Phew!

Hi Folks,
When you get a crash, do you also get presented with Adobe crash reporter dialog to submit the crash log to Adobe? We do spend quite bit of time reviewing crash logs and working with developer to determine what caused these crashes. So Please submit crash logs via Crash reporter and also add notes as to what you were doing when the crash happened. Here are example of comments you can add to crash log.
Just launched the app.
I was trying to open a project.
I was adding effect to a project.
Working on the project for 30 min and last thing I did was add LUTs and it just crashed.
Even with this info, sometimes we still can't reproduce these crashes even after having a few testers check it out.
Sometimes we are missing a step that you did that is not listed in the report and that is the missing piece of the puzzle.
And some sometimes it is hardware or driver specific.
So please also add your Name and email to crash reports.
These reports are getting looked at by engineering team and your info won't get added to some sales database.
Used only for purposes of engineering to try to figure out what the issue is and resolving it.
This way we can contact you for more info if we can't reproduce the crash you are getting.
Sometime, we figure out the cause, we fix the crash and need people who experience this to verify it is fixed, that is why it would be helpful to have your name and email so we can contact you for more info or ask you to test an update with a fix .
Thanks,
Nariman

I only got a crash reporter dialog the first time, and I did submit the log with my name and email.

Is this crash report something Premiere creates? Never seen it and where do we send them?? Also it doesn't really crash - it just stops responding (all other programs continue to work) but Adobe just stops doing anything and spins. The only way to get out of it is to open task manager and kill the process.

Hi Nariman,
haven't received any crash report from Premiere Pro...it just crashes on splashscreen..that's it. I have used countless hours trying to fix this myself, and it is time Adobe takes the lead and solves this, as more and more people are experiencing the same or similar problems.

I, like others here, don't get a chance to save anything in an Adobe Crash Report during the splash screen. I only get the Apple crash report logs after the fact.
I am reverted to Premiere Pro and AE 2017 to keep working, but I work in a mixed environment of computers and versions so I'd like to hear about a solution.

Why is it that every new update, Premiere's functionality seems to get worse. I am trying not to use sharp language here, but I'm pretty much ready to DUMP Adobe Creative Suite altogether. I spend more time trying to fix these products or wait on exports using these products which tends to be more time just making them work, then the time I spend making things on them. I spent literally the past 24 hours exporting a project which once it was done, this morning was only 24 bytes and not a video file, which should have been 8 GBs and that by the way, I cannot get open again because Premiere basically crashes at the splash page every time.
I already uninstalled and reinstalled which worked the one time and now doesn't work again.
I've started to learn and process things like Davinci, Capture 1 because this Suite is wasting so much F&*U$&#%# time.
Is there a fix to this or not?

I was getting the "Let Adobe find a solution..." window where I could submit the crash report. But now, after 20 or so crashes that window no longer appears. Is Adobe tired of my submissions?

I am also having issues with my PP CC 2018, when I try to open older CC2017 projects, it opens up PP, and then quickly closes back to the greeting screen, no crash reports are created.
2nd problem. For the project that I started originally on PP CC2018, it does not let me export or render any videos, it keeps giving me errors (screen shots attached.

I still cannot open Premiere Pro 2018 or Premiere Pro 2017. I've tried both multiple times.
I have tried uninstalling all my CC apps. The only one I cannot uninstall is Creative Cloud App, because it says other programs are still using it, even though I've uninstalled all of them (and restarted).
I have updated my GPU driver to the latest GeForce v387.92 Release Date 10/8/2017.
Running Windows 10, updated that to latest as well.
@adobe Please help! I need to get up and running to do work! It seems like many others are having this issue.

FWIW, the first time I tried to launch the upgraded PP2018 version, it was by double clicking an existing project file, which was created in PP2017.

I have the same error. I subscribe to LR and Photoshop and downloaded Premiere CC 2018 today to test it out as I'm starting to work with video as well but there's no way to make this software open! It crashes everytime before launching. Very frustrating. Will start looking for other video editing softwares that actually work! And no, I don't want to spend hours dealing with complicated driver issues or register codes...
