Premiere Pro crashes when I import files.

Hi, I hope you are well,

So I keep encountering this situation when I try to Import a file into my projects, I do this with file-import, and the file page doesn't load and then Premiere Pro doesn't respond and I am forced to force shut the software, this is a big problem if I haven't saved in a while. Now it doesn't always happen sometimes import works just fine so why does it not always work?

I will add I have already tried clearing my cache and I can drag and drop files from file explorer just fine, but it's frustrating taking that extra step to minimise the software to do an import.
