As the title says, I cannot open Premiere Pro. It shows the splash screen, but after about six seconds, it disappears and nothing else pops up - not even any crash reports. I have tried practically anything I could think of, and followed steps from the official "How to fix Premiere Pro crash issues". Here are some of the things I've tried...
restarting my PC
updating my graphics drivers
reinstalling the program
opening previous versions of Premiere Pro
opening via shortcuts, the Creative Cloud, and a project file
opening as an administrator, as well as messing with other compatibility settings
manually cleaning media cache
...all to no avail.
Below are my specs:
System: Windows 11
Graphics Card: ASUS Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB
RAM: 32 GB
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 AM4
For reference, the main version of Premiere I am trying to run is the latest one (23.4)
I would be extremely grateful for any help at all! Thank you! 🙂
The Nvidia Control Panel and all things Nvidia should have been in the "Installed apps" section under Apps in Settings. Please do uninstall all of the apps that say "NVIDIA" by running the Uninstall feature (click on the three dots, then click Uninstall).
I had the same problem and it has taken me a month to figure it out. Tonight I uninstalled my Black Magic apps and now Premiere Pro 2024 loads. I hope that this post helps others with the problem.

I may not have, actually. I definitely still have some NVIDIA programs installed despite their uselessness, so there may as well be traces of my previous GPU. Is there any easy way to do so?

THAT DID IT!
I uninstalled all NVIDIA-related programs like GeForce Experience, PhysX, and NVIDIA Control Panel. For some reason, I couldn't uninstall the drivers, either via the Windows settings nor the control panel, but I tried running Premiere to see if that did anything, and it did indeed! It opens and runs! 🙂 Thanks so much for the help!

I am having exact same issues, audo hits a lag and all of a sudden it can't be fixed. if I close it then it woun't open up again. it is stuck on the splash screen. only way it works is restarting my computer after a forced close. I deleted my coomputer last week in frustration with adobe for so long. re intalled everything. it was working good for 1 day and now it's worse than ever with bugs and crashes. I have installed davinci resolve and will start learning it's interface because I can't have my ability to work continuoulsy be cut out from underneath me. which is a shame because I would have liked to use adobes interface on certain things. I've struggled for a year with different problems and bugs. I've done everything everyone says to. if Adobe can fix their bugs to make it work I would love to keep using this product, but it hasn't been a thing concerning my issues.

Honestly massive thanks. I had tried everything, even got a new graphics card, and it turns out it was just the Blackmagic apps stopping it working.
Huge thanks again.
