I'm trying to edit a video with a lot of compiled 4k short clips. I cannot load into the project I had previously saved and closed because of what I think is a RAM issue. I currently have 32 GB, which doesn't seem to be enough to load all of the items I have in the project panel when I open the project, it gets immediately overworked so I end up getting errors and clips that are missing audio or visual aspects. I've tried importing the project to a new project file but that hasn't worked and short of starting over, so I can slowly load in my million clips incrementally, I'm not sure what to do.
Is there some other option I can turn to that isn't just buying more RAM? TIA.

I've been running with 64GB since 2017, so, I think 32 is a bit shy.
The one suggestion I have is to look into PRODUCTIONS. They allow you to have your media in other linked projects and you can keep your main editing project clean. The idea being you are only loading things you need at the moment.

Hello @annoyedguppy,
Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug, and I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? If so, the team will need more information from you to reproduce the bug. Can you provide the information required here? How do I write a bug report?
I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.
Thanks,

Kevin
