I have the latest version of Premiere Pro (updated yesterday), on a macbook pro M2Pro. about once a day, Premiere randomly will stop letting me close the application. It will sit open, either on a project, or the New Project screen (if i've closed my current project), but will not let me click the "x" at the top, nor the quit feature from the tool bar/dock. When I go to restart my computer, it then will interrupt, and not let me do so. Therefore requiring me to hard restart my computer in order to reboot premiere.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you have resolved this issue.
I'm having the exact same problem from time to time on two different computers (one mac pro one mac studio M2) and it is really annoying.
I'm not particularly phased by having to hard reboot from time to time but I'm not the one using the computers - employees are - and I don't wan't to set a bad exemple by doing that. Does anyone know the right way out of this issue ? Many thanks for your help.

Just letting know other users that apparently it was just a case of the auto update upsetting the intall and making it that way. After a night leaving Premiere idle I was able force quit it and restart the computer. Everyone seems happy now.

I haven't found a full solution, but I have found that using alt+command+Esc, I can force quit Premiere. It's still annoying, but atleast I'm not constantly hard rebooting my computer.
