Previews for audio clips wont play with space bar...

Hi, I have a project that I've been working with for a while...all of a sudden, when I hit the space bar while highlighting a clip in the project, it will not playback. This is only happening with audio clips (music).  Now this is only happening with audio clips, video clip previews playback fine with the space bar. To make things even more interesting, if I highlight an audio clip and scrub in the preview window, then all of a sudden the space bar works for starting and stopping. I've tried re-importing, restarting, bringing the same clips into a new project and still the same problem. Also tried moving the audio files to another drive and re-importing them, still nothing.

Thanks Jim...that did the trick but now I have an interesting new problem, when I import a folder of audio files, just the folder comes in with no contents. Importing a folder of video files, no problem. Any idea what's happening there?

Boy Jim, I'm really trying to figure out why this is happening all of a sudden. I tried a test where I re-exported all of the music files in one folder from 16 bit wavs to 24 bit wavs, the folder comes in with the 24 bit files showing but the 16 bit files aren't. I've been using these same music files for years and have never had a problem importing them.

You can always go into the folder and select all.  It's weird, but don't let this slow you down.

Hi, I know this is years old now, but it appears to be the only thread I can find with what appears to be the solution, but this link is dead now, is there another one or do you know the way to sort this issue?
