I can do this the traditional way, working with proxies, until picture lock, unlinking and then re-linking to full resolution media, however I'd prefer to have both on hand in Premiere.

Hello @FeedbackCommunityMember,
Thanks for the message. It’s been a long time since you filed this bug. I apologize for the lack of a response. Are you still having this issue? This is likely fixed with the latest version with QuickTime .mov file availability and using this format for proxies. Can you check?
I'll move your post to the Discussions board while we await your information.
Thanks,

Kevin

Project Bin --> Select all the footage --> Right Click "Modify" --> Audio Channels, Select the appropriate number (I.e.: so if its 2 channels, then swap everything to left and right for 1 and 2). Then link it again

Had this issue today with Adobe Premier 2025 - so it's not been fixed. After various attempts heres what worked for me:
1. create a backup your project file
2. open your project file
3. right click your footage bin, click Proxy and click "DETACH proxies"
4. right click on your footage bin, click Proxy and then click "Reconnect full resolution media"
5. reconnect to the raw footage and your done
Hope this helps someone and hope adobe sort this issue out as it's a proper head scratcher with such a simple solution!!
