Reset Parameter buttons disrupt tabbing between attributes

Reset Parameter buttons count when tabbing between attributes which adds an extra button click every time you want to jump up or down through attributes.

Is there any way to ignore them when tabbing?

Also as a side note when you do tab to one of them it tabs to the next attribute down's reset parameter button which is visually unintuitive because it looks like it should go to one that's in line with the attribute (left to right).

Thank you for any help

I'm not aware of any way of ignoring them.

I do agree that it's counter-intuitive for the reset button to be the first item selected on the next line, but then I've never used tab as a way of navigating through the settings. It seems like a lot of wasted button presses; if I know I want to rotate then i'll go straight to Rotation with the mouse rather than tabbing though eight other controls.

For accessibility reasons however, if a user can't use a mouse then I can understand why you would tab through everything.

Hi Mate, thanks for your reply.

I'm a YouTuber using mostly action cam footage and part of my regular workflow is to crop in on footage to different degrees and reframe the point of intrest (because of the wide POV angle), I'll animate between crops so I'm constantly tabbing between position, scale, rotation to set keys.

Until this latest update I had a smooth time with all the tabbing but now that reset button gets in the way every time, it's actually pretty punishing and stops my flow every minute or so haha. It's funny you just get used to something being one way and they make a tiny change and it completely disrupts how you work. Hopefully they add the option of skipping it!

I should have said in the origonal post but all previous versions of premiere you could tab freely between attributes, this has only been an issue since the latest update.

@Aaron_Briggs9638,

I see what you see in PR 25.4.0 (and in Beta 25.6.0.31). I see what you remember in previous versions when I tested in PR 24.6.5. I think this is a bug in PR 25.4. I hope it is not an intended change! I am on Win 11.

Tab order should work correctly in forward and in reverse (Shft+Tab). It does NOT in 25.4.0.

Aaron, you should add the specific version you are using (I assume PR 25.4, but we need to know) and your operating system.

@jamieclarke or whoever gets to this first: if you can confirm this is not by design, I recommend moving it to be a bug.

Stan

Hi Stan, cheers for the reply. Yep version 25.4.0 and Win 11

If it is intentional they should definitely put an option to skip tabbing to Reset Parameter, I've been editing all day and it's constantly annoying me haha
