Sequences in a Master Timeline

When I open a Master Timeline (one I use every week) the 12 sequences I have created are either jumbled, missing, or there are just a few.  Not sure if there is a fix for this, but it is annoying.

Open an auto save or a backup project.

Same issue.  Attached is the timeline that was autosaved.  My segments are 1A to 1E / Master / 2A to 2E.  if they would stay in order, my life would be much easier!

I have done this as well.  For some reason, it doesn't matter how I save the project...it opens different every time.

I am not sure what you are reporting.

Are you saying that you have nested sequences in a sequence called "master timeline" and that the nested sequences change order after closing a project and re-opening?

Not nested sequences, it is a master premiere pro project I use every week for a 60 minute national t.v. show.  On the master timeline of that project,  I have 10 sequences for each segment of the show. Each week I open the master project in premiere and the sequences are out of order.  They should be 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E, 2A, 2B, etc.   It's just a pain and I don't understand why it doesn't stay in the order I saved it.

Those sorts of details are important. It's annoying when software developers don't pay attention to things like that.

I have reported other such details - Adobe doesn't generally acknowledge or respond to these sorts of things. But one can hope.

As I understand, PPro preserves the sequences of the last opened project. So, if you open a project with only one sequence, close it, and then open your national tv show project, only one sequence will be opened in the timeline.

This is a workaround: put all your sequences by order in one bin in the project panel, when you open the project, in the timeline, right click on the name of the sequence that you want to keep as first > close other timeline panels:

In the Project panel, select the sequences in the right order (if they are ordered numerically, just press ctrl+a for select all), right click > Open in Timeline, and you are done:

The whole operation would take 4-5 seconds really: close other timeline panels, select sequences in project panel > open in timeline.

As you say, this is a workaround, and a workaround I have been using for many years. It's a simple easy fix for Adobe to have the Sequences of the Timeline LOCKED in, so this never happens. It's utterly ridiculous. I am sick of putting all of the Sequences back on the Timeline, and or having to rearrange the Sequences in the Timeline every time I open up the Project again. Adobe needs to fix this problem right away!!!!

It's quite ridiculous. Whoever works on improving Premiere Pro, overlooks all kinds of things, and issues that could be easily fixed. There should be a way to LOCK the Sequences so that this never happens. It happens all of the time, and the only work around I know, is to put all of the Sequences into one bin, and when this happens, (which is all of the time) you have to click each sequence and then put them in order on the timeline. This is an easy fix for Adobe, and it should be done immediatlly. This is totally ludicrous, and it has been doing this for many years, when you reopen your Project. Either all of the Sequences are out of order, with a few missing, or all of the Sequences are missing with the exception of the last Sequence you were working on.
