Serious issues between Mac & PC projects

We have just noticed a catastrophic issue which caused havoc on a recent project.

You cannot open any premiere projects on a PC and Mac without one or the other seeing the incorrect files. Even if the file is called 'window_shot_v6' They see different files.

So, as we were doing, replacing new CG renders with client amends. The PC was looking at file 'window_shot_v6' in the timeline and ingest folder. It was actually displaying and rendering 'window_shot_v5'.

Luckily we caught the issue, but this is completely unacceptable. I know there always seems to be issues when working off servers/NAS with adobe products and mixed environments, but this is crazy.

This is the latest premiere 2023 and windows 10 and Mac os 11.7. Across multiple machine setups, the same behaviour is present.

This is a ridiculous issue and shouldn't happen in a profesional tool. I think the issue lays in the way the "Replace Media" handles the clip name vs file name. Adobe please, please doesn't seem like a difficult bug to fix.
