Hi!

What is the short cut to make fade in/ fade out? So I don´t want to make cross dissolve but

fade in/ fade out.

If you add the cross disolve to just one side of an edit it will give you a fade:

Or you could look at the 'dip to black' transition.

Dip to black is more of a double sided transition.

If used as a single sided transition it needs to be tweaked.

I usually just move the clip to a higher track, so there's nothing before (or after the clip) and then apply the dissolve.
