Windows 10/64 up to date / PP 2022 CC with no RAM or processor issues
While I am proficient with other Adobe programs, I am a rank amateur with Premiere Pro. I've managed to hack several videos together, but now have encountered an issue that has put me at my wits end.
I've developed some illustrator graphics that I have imported that are pixelating on the screen. When I import directly from illustrator, the files come it at probably 10 to 15% of the editing monitor screen. Drag 'em up and they pixelate.
I did some YouTube research and discovered exporting for screen. I exported two files sized at 1920 x 1080px @ 72 dpi for screen. When I bring those in they come at probably 500% or so, in any case, huge. If I attempt to reduce the file, only the portion of the file displaying reduces.
So now, I am punting and cannot figure out where I have gone wrong. I'm certain there's a simple way to bring in the graphics and keep them sharp, but I am completely ignorant of the process. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks to those who know more than me,
Joe

If you can share the file with me privately, I can have a look and tell you what's wrong

Your document size in Illustrator (also called Artboard size) should be - in pixels - the same as your frame size in Premiere Pro. It can be larger or smaller, but matching it minimizes introducing an error with maintaining the frame aspect ratio and scale of the artwork as it will appear in Premiere Pro.
If you're having issues with the .AI file on the Premiere Pro side, use File > Export > Export As > Format: PNG (png) with Use Artboards enabled. In the PNG Options dialog box, choose Screen 72-ppi (if you plan to also use these PNGs for print, Medium and High are fine); Anti-aliasing to Art Optimized or Type Optimized (whichever one you want to favor based on the document contents); and the Background Color set as needed.
If you're not sure that your current Illustrator document is set up well for exporting for video, you could create a new document at either the Web-Large 1920 x 1080 preset or one of the Film & Video presets and then copy and paste artwork from your current document to the new document, adjust as needed, save, and then export to PNG.
Personally, I prefer the Web-Large preset or a customized width and height Web preset to avoid the green guides that cannot be hidden or deleted in the Film & Video Presets as well as the Artboard inside of an Artboard setup that the Film & Video presets use.

Sounds like a plan.
