At some point, I am now unable to import a new r3d clip (new and old project) with Source Settings not greyed out. Reinstalling REDCINE-X did not fix. Reboot did not fix.
Previously imported clips have clickable Source Settings. A same clip re-imported will also have option greyed out.
Issue was not existent on Premiere Pro CC 2015 yesterday...
For any R3D clip (or other format that used to have Source Settings) imported into CC 2015, the settings functionality has moved to Master Clip Effects. If you import a CC 2014 project with R3D clip, then Source Settings will be enabled in the Project panel.
Snippet from help doc:

Ah, the Master tab in Effects Controls. Thanks!

Why did you do this?
a) There is not possible to make a keyboard shortcut directly to the settings
b) The usability on the pane was much better in the old version, now you have to open every parameter you want to change to get the slider, and everything takes 2-3 times more time
For us, working professionally full time with editing this means higher expenses and more stress.

Actually you had to reveal in project first. With Effects control open, it's the same amount of click.
But yeah, now I have to put my clips in the timeline...

In 2014 you could make a shortcut for source settings, and it worked directly from timeline 😉
Anyway, it's not the same amout of clicks anyway, in the old version, the sliders were directly accessable, in the effects pane, you have to open the sliter for every parameter to access it.

It's strange that Adobe does things like this, without understanding the customers workflow, and not asking for advice! And, most likely, without even using a single minute to think about the consequences of their choices.
This is the most obvious reasons why the old Source Settings must be put back into the PP2015 ASAP:
a) In 2014, the source settings were available in one click (keyboard shortcut or mouse click) in any window the r3d files were available, both from timeline and project. Now there are at least 4 clicks, and some times much more. (4 clicks, because you have to open Effects tab, then select master effects, then open every section to see the parameters, and finally every parameter to adjust it!)
b) In 2014, it was possible to adjust source settings before clips were moved to timeline, directly from project window. In 2015 source settings is only available from clips on timeline.
c) In 2014, it was possible to edit multiple clips at once. This is not possible in 2015.
d) In 2014, it was possible to make presets. This is not possible in 2015.
e) In 2014, every parameter was available for direct editing (sliders) when opening source settings. This is not possible in 2015, where you have to open every section, and then each slider one by one, to move it. (Why Adobe????)
f) In 2014 the preview window in source settings showed the result of your changes realtime when pulling the sliders. In 2015 you have to pull, then wait, and then.... in some seconds, you see the result of your change.
g) In 2014, the source settings show scopes and histograms, realtime while you are pulling the sliders. The 2015 does not show any scopes at all.
So... it should not be a question IF the old source settings should be put back, but WHEN... and I hope it is soon.

One more thing that bugs me is the Reference Monitor's "Gang to Program Monitor" which button deactivate every time Premiere Pro is started (i.e. after program crash) and is not saved in workspaces.

Please make the old source settings window an option. This is a feature that is used very frequently, and it needs a keyboard shortcut. The old source settings window was a lot easier to use aswell.

anyone know a way to batch reload from rmd in premier?

I reach the settings only by reveal in project and right click on the file in the project panel. These are 2 more steps. I wish there was a shortcut! Shortcuts are the most professional way to speed up your workflow a lot. Premiere has so less shortcuts in contrast to all the other programs. Please add an option to create shortcuts or create shortcuts that i can use my Logitech G13 much more! In Ae it works pretty fine.

i also miss the option to create a preset right in the source settings of the master clip

Need the presets option immediately adobe. I am having to manually change every clip in my timeline and pray I don't miss something.

Also, changing the .r3d's options through master effects takes about x5 as long to see a change in the timeline. You change white-balance...wait...wait...wait...there it is. In the past it brought up that second window and things went very smoothly.
Please bring that option back.

yes having the same. Takes much more longer now! Have the last few days quite objectively measured and the update has now slowed my workflow to 115min per day.

Wait...looks like you can turn off the Master Effects tab and THEN access source settings the normal way. Still...kinda of a hassle.

I'm really confused by this. I used to right-click on a clip in a sequence, and then have source settings right there in the menu. But now I don't.
You're saying I can "access source settings the normal way" if I turn off the Master Effects tab? How do I do that?
If I right-click on a clip in the project window, then the source settings pop up, but not when the clip is in a sequence. Is there any way I can change that?

Adobe pelase change this back to the way it was in CC 2014 or at least add a realtime update to the viewer, as it is completely guess and check without any visual feedback when changing a value. This has increased my correction time at least 5x.

I'm assuming the folks who decided to take away the "Source Settings" from the timeline, as well as the ability to effect multiple clips at once, do not edit R3D files on a daily basis, or have ever edited R3D files ever. The Source Settings feature was never broke in the first place. If you could access Master Effects from the timeline, and effect multiple highlighted clips that would be great. However, taking the old "Source Settings" feature away slows down workflow tremendously. Does Adobe know when an update to all of these issues will be ready?

Adobe needs to fix this! Worst update ever! I can't get those source settings back even trying the things suggested in this post. I can't work on my R3D clips at all. Blows my mind how bad this last update has effected the work flow. Also having trouble with crashes since the last update. Fix the problems Adobe, not the things that work.

AE AND PP are both crashing a ton for me as well, and i've noticed that AE is much less responsive when working with 6k than 2014 CC was. I second the need for a major update (again)! PLEASE ADOBE FIX THIS SOON

I am disappointed that Adobe did not fix this in the July-edition of PP2015. Have been working some weeks now with the new interface for RAW-settings on RED-files, and it slows down the workflow a lot.
Does anyone know why Adobe has removed the original source settings? They still are there, because they work fine in upgraded projects, just not in new projects. Wouldn't it be easy to make it available also in new projects? Is the plan to remove it completely in future versions?
This is a key feature for professional editors and colorists, and the loss of this function it might even force professionals to choose other software than Adobes.

I don't understand why you guys have to change something that works perfectly fine. It costs time and confusion. The user interface in source settings is more intuitive than this new one in the effect controls panel. Bummer.
