Tabs wont work

Every time i click on the effects or graphics tab at the top, The program goes blank and freezes up. i have the most up to date patch, plenty of storage space, and im using my beast of a PC, so i know its not any of my hardware. im assuming i have some sort of option selected that i shouldn't or something.

It was working fine until the 2018 update. here is a screen shot of what it does after i select the graphics tab...

Have you tried resetting those workspaces that go funky?

I know this thread is old, but it may be of help to someone now. I was just having the same issue and spent the last hour on trying to fix it.

I was only having this issue on one project. I opened a brand new project and went to the tab that wouldn't work, then opened the old project in the same window. THAT WORKED!!

Another thing I'd try is to create a new project and duplicate the files to that project.
